Danish Chevrolet team remain fastest

The first Saturday practice session has been completed at the Adria track in east Italy. Once again the two Danish Chevrolet dominated the session with Swede Pontus Mörth fastest ahead of his team mate and Dane Henrik Lundgaard. Last year’s third placed man Tomas Engström was third quickest in the Honda accord with newly crowned Danish champion Michel Nykjær fourth.

Today the track has so far been mainly dry. This how ever did not stop a number of drivers getting in to trouble. Møller struck the tyre wall in turn seven, and both Johansson and Ceresoli spun in turn four. Ceresoli later managed to hit the tyres in turn six and had to stop with damage to the suspension.

A total of 36 drivers took part in the morning session, all entered drivers except for Kaye and Odud. A second practice session is soon to follow.
