Engström tops Warmup ahead of Nykjær

Tomas Engström keeps his strong pace at the ETC Cup in Italy. During the morning warm up the Swede topped the time sheets with a time of 1:22.417. At the foggy track Michel Nykjær was second, 0.147 seconds behind in his SEAT Léon. Third was Danish Chevrolet driver Hendrik Lundgaard a further 0.273 seconds behind.

Lundgaard’s team-mate Pontus Mörth, César Campaniço (BMW 320si), Maurizio Ceresoli (SEAT León) and Alexander Lvov (Honda Accord) occupied the positions between fourth and seventh, all covered by 9 tenths.

Alexsey Basov and his Honda Civic topped the Super Production class with a time of 1:27.338, with Anton Markin’s BMW 320i and Arkadiy Pavlovskiy’s Opel Astra in second and third. The first race will start at 12.35 CET, with Alexander Lvov jr dropped by ten positions on the grid (from 25th to 35th) after the Sport-Garage team changed the engine on his Audi A4.
