ETC Cup 2008 could be held at Salzburgring

The fourth edition of the European Touring Car Cup will be held on October the 12th in 2008, as confirmed by the FIA. No track has been announced officially yet. TouringCarTimes has received information that the race could be held in Austria on the track Salzburgring.
“Negotiations are still ongoing; nothing has been confirmed yet,” said ETC Cup press officer Fabio Ravaioli.

There are expected to be many changes for the race next year compared to the format that has been used in the three first races of ETC Cup. The most recent suggestion is to run different qualifying rounds in the different countries that host national championships with S2000 rules.
