Procar 2008 calendar released

The ADAC has released the official calendar for the 2008 season of the ADAC Procar series. The calendar includes 15 races, held over 8 rounds. Just like last year, the series will have a race at the circuit of Assen in the Netherlands. They will go for a second race outside Germany at the end of the season, to the Salzburgring in Austria.

The race at the Salzburgring will be held together with the FIA European Touring Car Cup. However, the date and track for the ETC cup is not fix yet.

“This is the plan, but the FIA still have to confirm the date”, according to Fabio Ravaioli, press officer of the FIA ETC cup.

If the FIA won’t have the race at the Salzburgring, the Procar series will race the round at Oschersleben, TouringCarTimes has learned from Hans Niemann, in charge of organising the 2008 Procar series.

10/05 – 11/05 : race 1 and 2 – Oschersleben (DE)
22/05 – 24/05 : race 3 – Nürburgring (24h race) (DE)
14/06 – 15/06 : race 4 and 5 – Hockenheimring (DE)
19/07 – 20/07 : race 6 and 7 – Assen (NL)
29/08 – 31/08 : race 8 and 9 – Oschersleben (FIA WTCC) (DE)
06/09 – 07/09 : race 10 and 11 – EuroSpeedway Lausitz
20/09 – 21/09 : race 12 and 13 – Sachsenring (DE)
10/10 – 12/10 : race 14 and 15 – Salzburgring (FIA ETCC) (A)
