Göransson ahead of Engström

The Swede Richard Göransson topped the first free practice session of the day, taking his third top spot of the weekend. Fellow Swede Tomas Engström was second fastest, only 0.075 seconds behind. Michel Nykjær was third fastest, some three tenths behind Göransson’s best time.

Göransson suffered from problems with the engine electronics at the very end of the session, but the team reports that they should be ready for the second free practice session later today.

Göransson’s team mate Jan “Flash” Nilsson was fourth fastest ahead of the SEAT-man and Spaniard Oscar Nogues.

Franz Engstler headed a BMW-train of three cars with Kristian Poulsen seventh and George Tanev eight. The second free practice session starts at 13.30 followed by qualifying at 15.30 CET.
