Bamboo Engineering enters two cars

British Touring Car Championship team Bamboo Engineering have entered two cars for the European Touring Car Cup 2009. Regular driver Harry Vaulkhard is going to be joined by Portuguese driver Duarte Félix da Costa.
“We are very much looking forward to the ETCC event in Portugal. I think it will be a great experience for Harry, and we have a dark horse with Duarte,” said team boss Richard Coleman.

Costa is currently second in the Portuguese Touring Car Championship after taking a victory at the very circuit the ETC Cup is going to take place at: Braga.

“He is a quick driver and has very good circuit knowledge. I’d like to thank Chevrolet Portugal for their support in putting this together for us,” said Coleman.

The Portuguese driver is more than happy to drive for the team.
“To race with Bamboo was an easy choice for me, the Chevrolet is a fast car, with their experience of the car in the BTCC and RML support, I’m certain it’s a good combination and I’m sure we’ll be on the pace from the outset,” said Costa.

Regular Bamboo Engineering driver Vaulkhard is expecting their Chevrolet Lacetti to be strong at Braga.

“Looking at the circuit the Chevrolet should be a strong car round there and to have someone alongside me with the experience of Duarte should put us in a great position for a good result there,” Vaulkhard declared.
