Honda driver Engström to ETC Cup

Swedish Touring Car Championship Honda driver Tomas Engström is going to take part in the European Touring Car Cup 2009.
“We are going to the race to take a top three finish,” said Engström.

This is the fifth year in succession that the Swede is taking part in the ETC Cup.
“We usually get a good run when we take part in international races, something we hope for this year as well,” said Engström.

Engström finished eight in the STCC this year with his Honda Accord and the Swede initially had a hard time getting budget for the ETC Cup.

“We have received great support from our partners, we did not have the budget for it after the STCC final. But thanks to our partners, we get the chance to go out and represent Sweden,” said Engström.

Last year Engström qualified fourth but retired in the first race after an incident but was able to get back up in to fifth in the second race.
