Calendar for ETCC 2010 confirmed

The final FIA European Touring Car Cup 2010 calendar has been confirmed officially. The series will, as we reported three weeks ago, feature four races: Braga in Portugal, Oschersleben in Germany, Salzburgring in Austria and Franciacorta in Italy.

“A series of four events will help to cover the whole European territory, making it easier for the teams to take part in all or selected events.

The aim is also to strengthen the ties between the National Championships that adopt the FIA technical regulations,” KSO General Manager Marcello Lotti explained.

Each race weekend is going to feature two 50 km races, with one qualifying session.

S2000 cars are eligible alongside S1600 and Super Production. All three classes are going to have individual championships and prize money.

A total of 100 000 € in prize money are going to be awarded at each of the races: 65 000 euros to Super 2000, 25 000 to Super 1600 and 10 000 to Super Production.
