Thompson’s team criticizes ETCC calendar

Danish Honda team Hartmann Racing, for which James Thompson competes, are upset over the recent change in the European Touring Car Cup.
“It is a stupid move just four weeks ahead of the premiere,” said team boss and driver Hans Hartmann to TouringCarTimes.com.

The original plan for the Honda team was to take part in ETCC, the Danish Touring Car Championship and the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup.

“The change is causing some new challenges for us. We will as planned start in the ETCC and later choose which race to make,” said Hartmann.

The team is going to choose which series to take part in depending on the results as the seasons progresses.

“We could be out of the championship chances in one of the series and there after chose the one to race in,” said Hartmann.
