KSO comments Oschersleben cancellation

The European Touring Car Cup calendar has been, as we previously reported, reduced to three races. Organising body KSO comments the matter.
“We have done it following requests from the teams and in order to avoid clashes with the national championships according to the spirit of the FIA European Touring Car Cup,” said KSO general Manager Marcello Lotti.

The German round at Oschersleben has been axed. The event was first scheduled for the 30th of May, not clashing with any of the major touring car championships in Europe.

But the date was changed at the start of the year to the 5th of September, clashing with BTCC, DTC and STCC.

The finalized calendar for ETCC 2010:

28th March – Braga, Portugal
25th July – Salzburgring, Austria
17th October – Franciacorta, Italy
