Thompson fastest on rain affected test day

James Thompson was fastest in the test day for this weekends first round of the European Touring Car Cup from Braga.

In the first session, Thompson set the best time – and that time would go unbeaten for the rest of the day as rain interfered with the remaining sessions.

The third session was also interrupted by a red flag stoppage, after Irina Protasova’s Bevz Kostantyn Team BMW 320i hit the tyre barrier.

The cars will get one more practice session tomorrow before qualifying for the first round of the new format ETC this season.
