Hertner takes the double at Oschersleben

Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Roland Hertner won both races at Oschersleben for the first round of the season.

Engstler Junior drivers Leidinger & Spengler took second in each race respectively.

Hertner, the only returning driver with Engstler this season, had qualified on pole position and went on to take victory in both races and therefore leads the championship.

BMW’s closest competitor was the independently entered Mercedes-Benz C200 by Thate Motorsport, with driver Jens Weimann taking fourth in the first race, and a surprise final place on the podium in the second race.

Hertner leads the championship with 20 points from Florian Spengler with 14, and Johannes Leidinger on 13 points.

The next race is on 9th May at the Sachsenring.
