Hartmann disappointed over Thompson exit

James Thompson left Hartmann Racing just a few days ahead of the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup premiere.
“We are very sad and disappointed by what has happened,” said team owner Hans Hartmann.

Team owner Hartmann says that the split was due to new demands from Thompson’s engineer and his staff.

“I was ahead of the Danish race met with new requirements from the engineer and his staff that we did not find reasonable to honor,” said Hartmann.

The team states that they were prepared to continue without the engineer and his staff, something Thompson was not interested in.

“We have worked during the past week to find new staff around Thompson’s car, but as Thompson does not want to take part in this without his engineer, there was unfortunately nothing to do but to end the relationship,” said Hartmann.
