Hertner extends lead with win and a second

Roland Hertner extends his championship lead, albeit only slightly over team mate Florian Spengler at the second round of the ADAC Procar championship at the Sachsenring.

Hertner had to start from the back in race one after losing the times set in qualifying, after initially setting pole position – and managed to work his way through the pack to finish second to the 22 year old Florian Spengler in the Liqui Moly Junior Team car in the first race.

Starting from second in race two however, placed Hertner perfectly to be able to move ahead of his junior team mate and take his third win in four races, whilst Liqui Moly Team Engstler have now won every race of the season.

Spengler was unable to repeat his win, and finished 5th overall, but still 3rd in class, one lap down after a trip to the pits in the 12 lap sprint.

Hertner now leads the championship on 38 points from Spengler on 30, and Johannes Leidinger on 27.
