Hertner takes pole at Assen

Liqui-Moly Team Engstler driver Roland Hertner has taken pole position for the ADAC-Procar series first race at Assen, leading junior team mates Spengler & Leidinger.

Hertner, who leads the championship by seven points over team mate Leidinger, set a lap of 1:51.639 to claim pole, just over two-tenths of a second faster than his team mate.

Team Engstler drivers locked out the top three, whilst season debutant Andrii Kruglyk qualified fourth in a BMW 320i E46.

Oliver Mayer, who surprised last time out on his season debut, running in the ex-STCC Audi A4, qualified sixth – just behind Peter Rikli in his Honda Civic FD, the car finally finding some pace after being built for the beginning of this season.

The fourth Liqui-Moly Enstler car of Rustem Teregulov was 7th, with the Yaco Racing Toyota’s rounding out the rest of Division 1.

Division 2 pole was taken by Benedikt Boeckels in the rhino’s Leipert Motorsport Ford Fiesta ST, whilst Division 3 pole went to category leader Andreas Kast in his Renault Clio.
