Thompson ahead of Rossi at Salzburgring

James Thompson remained on top as the second test session at Salzburgring was completed. This time though, the times were closer. Michael Rossi was just nine thousands of a second behind the Honda-driver.

Tomas Engström, who was second fastest in the first session, was third fastest in this session, one tenth slower than Thompson.

Thompson’s team mate Wolfgang Treml was fourth fastest ahead of turbo diesel-man Michael Nykjær.

This session saw the field more than doubled compared to the first session with nine S2000 specification cars on track.

The two Turkish drivers Ibrahim Okyay and Aytaç Biter were sixth and seventh fastest respectively.
