Thompson on his own at wet Salzburgring

James Thompson was fastest in the saturday practice session at Salzburgring. The Brit was over a second faster than the second fastest driver, Michaël Rossi.

Michael Nykjær made it two SEAT’s in the top three and the Dane was close to four tenths slower than his manufacturer colleague.

Tomas Engström was fourth ahead of the two Turkish BMW-drivers Ibrahim Okyay and Aytac Biter.

Rustem Teregulov and Andrii Kruglik rounded off top eight.
