Spengler takes pole at EuroSpeedway
Florian Spengler lead a Liqui-Moly Team Engsler top four in qualifying at the EuroSpeedway, to claim his first pole position in ADAC Procar.
Spengler just beat Andrei Romanov to the pole, the Russian joining the championship for the first time this year after regularly competing in the World Touring Car Championship.
Engstler Junior team mate Johannes Leidinger will start third, with championship Roland Hertner fourth.
Oliver Mayer was the first of the non-BMW’s, qualifying his privately entered Audi A4 in fifth, just over 1.2 seconds down on Spengler’s pole time.
The fifth Liqui-Moly Team Enstler car of Rustem Teregulov qualified seventh, inbetween the two Yaco Racing Toyota’s.
Benedikt Boeckels took pole in Divison 2 in the rhino’s Leipert Motorsport Ford Fiesta, whilst Rikli Motorsport’s Christian Fischer took a surprise pole in Division 3 in the Honda Civic Type-R, ahead of Alf Ahrens’ Clio.
