Oschersleben host of ADAC Procar finale
Three drivers can take the title at the final round of this year’s ADAC Procar championship at Oschersleben – the only complication is that they’re all team-mates.
Liqui-Moly Team Engstler have dominated all season, but now going into the final round, three of their drivers are in position to take their first ADAC Procar title.
Roland Hertner, the older and more experienced member of the team is the outsider. Having led the championship for most of the season, two no-scores in two of the last four races has put him behind his rookie team-mates on 88 points.
Seperated by a single point (where ten are available for a win), are Liqui-Moly Team Engstler Junior drivers Johannes Leidinger & Florian Spengler on 93 and 92 respectively. Spengler took a win last time out at Oschersleben, and drove from the back up to fourth place in race one to keep his title hopes alive, driving in the older BMW 320i E46.
Leidinger has scored strongly all season, with only one DNF all season.
The two final races of the season take place this Sunday at Oschersleben Motopark, Germany.
