Roland Hertner wins title on countback
Roland Hertner took a win and second place to tie in the standings with younger team-mate Leidinger, but wins the 2010 ADAC Procar Championship on number of wins in the season.
Hertner took victory in race one ahead of Leidinger to reduce the 23-year olds championship lead to three points, but in race two Hertner finished second to Romanov, was Leidinger could do no better than fourth.
The final standings is that two Liqui-Moly Engstler BMW drivers both have 106 points, but on account of Hertner’s five wins in the season vs. Leidinger’s two, means Hertner takes his first ADAC Procar championship – denying his rookie team-mate.
Florian Spengler, who was second in the standings at the start of the day, drops to third place on 103 points.
In Division two, Guido Thierfelder won the championship from Benedikt Boeckels by 10 points.
In Division Three, Andreas Kast beat Alf Ahrens in the Renault Clio.
