Tomas Engström on his own in wet warm up

Swedish Honda-driver Tomas Engström was fastest in the morning warm up at Franciacorta. Michel Nykjær was Engström’s closest rival, over eight tenths behind.

Pole-man James Thompson posted the third fastest time, just 0.029 seconds behind Nykjær.

The top trio were on their own as fourth fastest man, Wolfgang Treml, was close to four seconds off pace.

Peter Rikli, driving the Honda Civic FD2, was fifth fastest ahead of Mariano Bellin and Jörg Schori.
