Eight races for ADAC Procar in 2011

The German S2000 series ADAC Procar is going to host eight races this year. The season starts at Oschersleben in april and ends at Hockenheim in october.

New for this season is that the new 1.6 litre turbo engines are going to be allowed alongside the naturally aspirated 2.0 litre engines.

Three of the eight race weekends are going to be held outside Germany. Zolder in Belgium hosts the third race, the Red Bull Ring [Österreichring] in Austria hosts the fifth race and Assen in the Netherlands hosts the penultimate round of the year.

The fourth round of the year, at Oschersleben, is going to be held alongside the FIA World Touring Car Championship race.

Roland Hertner, of Team Engstler, secured the ADAC Procar title last year and is entered for the 2011 championship as well.

A total of 14 cars are preliminarily entered for the 2011 season, including Thate Motorsport-driver Jens Guido Weimann, K & K Motorsport-driver Andreas Kast and more.
