Jens Weimann wins for Thate BMW

Jens Weimann led a BMW 1-2 at the Sachsenring in race one, closely followed by Johannes Leidinger in the Liqui-Moly Team Engstler BMW 320si.

Weimann had qualified on the front-row alongside Peter Rikli’s Honda Civic FD, and drove into the lead to take his first career ADAC Procar Series victory with the BMW.

Last year’s ‘vice-champion’ Johannes Leidinger extended his championship lead with second, whilst Christian Fischer took the final spot on the podium in his Rikli Motorsport Honda Accord Euro-R.

In Division 2, the win went to Guido Thierfelder in his ETH Tuning Peugeot 207 Sport.
