Leidinger extends points lead with race one win
Johannes Leidinger has extended his championship lead to Jens Weimann to 24 points after taking a lights to flag victory in race one at Oschersleben.
The Liqui-Moly Team Engstler driver won the race by over 15 seconds from Peter Rikli’s Rikli Motorsport Honda Civic, with Jens-Guido Weimann finishing in third less than a second behind in his Thate Motorsport BMW 320si.
Leidinger now has 64 points in the championship to Weimann’s 40. Peter Rikli now moves up to joint third on 36 points with Yaco Racing Toyota driver Michail Stepanov.
In the Division 2 category, ETH Tuning Peugeot driver Guido Thierfelder won the race by less than a second from the Ford Fiesta of Kevin Krammes, with title rival Nils Mierschke finishing third. Thierfelder’s class lead therefore extends to five points over Mierschke.
