Johannes Leidinger on pole at the Lausitzring

Liqui-Moly Team Engstler driver Johannes Leidinger has taken his fourth pole position of the season in his BMW 320si ahead of Andreas Kast’s KK Motorsport Audi A4 at a weekend where he can clinch his first ADAC Procar title.

Leidinger’s best lap of 1:58.091 was enough to claim the championship leader the pole spot. Leidinger’s points lead over Jens-Guido Weimann is 26 points heading in to today’s races, and the 24-year-old German can take the championship today even with two rounds remaining at Assen and the Hockenheimring.

Kast was just 0.132s down on Leidinger in the ex-STCC Audi A4, with Weimann third in the Thate Motorsport BMW 320si.

Peter Rikli, Christian Fischer and Michail Stepanov completed the top six, which are all the Super 2000 cars entered for this race.

Nils Mierschke took the Divison 2 class pole in his Leipert Motorsport Ford Fiesta, with Ulrike Krafft taking a surprise second in the class in her Fiesta, ahead of reigning Division 2 champion Guido Thierfelder’s ETH Tuning Peugeot 207.

The two races take place from 14:30 CET.
