Johannes Leidinger takes pole for Hockenheim finale
2011 Champion Elect Johannes Leidinger has taken pole position for the final round of the ADAC Procar Series at Hockenheim, ahead of BMW rival Jens Weimann with Peter Rikli’s Honda Civic in third.
The Liqui-Moly Team Engstler set a best lap of 1:52.265 to secure pole by nine-tenths of a second over Weimann’s Thate Motorsport BMW 320si E90.
Swiss driver Peter Rikli was third fastest in his Honda Civic FD, ahead of his team-mate Christian Fischer’s Honda Accord Euro R.
Charlie Geipel, making his first appearance in the championship since Oschersleben in September 2010 qualified fifth in the Yaco Racing Toyota Auris, ahead of his Russian team-mate Michail Stepanov.
In seventh and the last of the S2000 Division 1 class runners was Markus Huggler, entered in new car to the championship also run by Rikli Motorsport, a BMW 320i E46.
Guido Thiefelder secured the class pole in Division 2 in his ETH Tuning Peugeot 207, with Kevin Krammes second in class and Thierfelder’s title rival Nils Mierschke in third.
