Another win for Weimann, whilst Mierschke wins D2

Nils Mierschke has secured the 2011 ADAC Procar Series Division 2 category in the final race of the season after finishing second in class to Guido Thierfelder, whilst Jens Weimann secures another win in the Super 2000 category.

Weimann lead from lights to flag to take his second win of the day, whilst the BMW of Johannes Leidinger and the Honda Accord of Christian Fischer made contact behind, taking Fischer out of the race and dropping Leidinger a lap down with damage.

With Charlie Geipel also retiring and Michail Stepanov not even starting after damage in race one, Guido Thierfelder’s Division 2 win was also fourth place overall, with Markus Huggler taking third on his series debut in the Rikli Motorsport-run BMW 320i E46.

Thierfelder’s win wasn’t enough to keep his Division 2 title however, with Mierschke’s second place giving the 21-year-old rookie the crown in his Leipert Motorsport Ford Fiesta.

Liqui-Moly Team Engstler’s Johannes Leidinger and Nils Mierschke picked up their trophies for winning the Division 1 and Division 2 drivers’ titles respectively.

Mierschke also won the 2011 ADAC Procar series rookie cup, whilst Liqui-Moly Team Engstler won the Division 1 teams’ championship and Leipert Motorsport the Division 2 teams’.

Oschersleben is scheduled to open the 2012 ADAC Procar series on April 16th.
