Rikli Motorsport to return in this year’s ETCC

The Swiss Rikli Motorsport team will compete for a third season in the FIA European Touring Car Cup, with their Super 2000 specification Honda Civic FD and Accord for Peter Rikli and Christian Fischer.

The team regularly compete in the German ADAC Procar series, where Rikli took three victories last year on his way to finishing third in the standings.

The team developed their own S2000 specification Honda Civic, based on the longer Asian market FD model for the 2010 ADAC Procar/European Touring Car Cup season. They also compete with an ex-JAS Motorsport Honda Accord Euro R, which has been driven by Christian Fischer since the start of 2011.

“We are currently rebuilding both cars, introducing a number of technical improvements,” said Team Principal Erwin Rikli.

“We are doing our best to make them competitive for the season opener at Monza.”
