Igor Skuz to race Engstler Motorsport BMW

Two-time Ukraine Circuit Racing champion Igor Skuz will race in this year’s FIA European Touring Car Cup in a Liqui Moly Team Engstler BMW 320si.

The 35-year-old from Kiev competed in last year’s ETCC with ATM Racing in the S1600 Ford Fiesta, qualifying third in class but was taken out of the first race by Christian Fischer’s Honda Accord S2000 on the first green flag lap in the wet conditions.

Skuz went on to finish third in class in the second race despite starting from the back of the grid, which saw him classified fifth in the event.

Liqui Moly Team Engstler will be running three cars in total at the opening weekend at Monza, with the two turbocharged BMW 320 TCs for Charles Ng and Team Principal Franz Engstler in the FIA World Touring Car Championship as well as Skuz’s normally aspirated BMW 320si in the ETCC.
