Jens Weimann leads the way at Oschersleben
Jens Guido Weimann won both races of the first round of the ADAC Procar Series at Oschersleben to lead the Division 1 standings, whilst Guido Thierfelder achieved the same in Division 2.
Weimann finished ahead of Andreas Kast in race one, taking the win by a comfortable 25 seconds, whilst Paul Green in the Liqui Moly Team Engstler BMW 320si finished third in class.
Gearbox problems for Kast reduced the number of cars in Divison 1 for race two from three to two, before Green retired with a mechnical issue leaving Weimann as the only scoring car in race two, and so leaves the meeting with a 12 point lead in the standings over Kast.
Guido Thierfelder took both wins in the Super 1600 Division 2 class from pole, with reigning D2 champion Nils Mierschke finishing second and Ralf Glatzel third in both races. Thierfelder therefore leads the standings by four points over Mierschke.
The next round of the Series is on May 6th at Zandvoort.
