Jens Weimann on pole at Zandvoort

Thate Motorsport driver Jens Weimann has taken pole position for the second round of the ADAC Procar Series at Zandvoort in his BMW 320si. The championship leader will start ahead of Paul Green’s Liqui Moly Team Engstler BMW.

Only two cars took part in the Super 2000 classification after Swiss driver Milenko Vukovic’s BMW suffered an alternator problem in qualifying. Weimann’s lap was more than four seconds clear of Green’s lap around the Dutch circuit.

In Division 2, Lennart Marioneck took the class pole in the Liqui Moly Team Engstler Ford Fiesta ahead of Guido Thierfelder’s ETH Tuning Peugeot 207 Sport, with reigning D2 champion Nils Mierschke third.

The first race of the day takes place at 14:55 CET.
