Fernando Monje and SEAT fastest in Imola testing

SEAT driver Fernando Monje topped the first FIA European Touring Car Cup test session at Imola, close to two seconds ahead of the closest rival in the form of SEAT León Copa driver Stian Paulsen.

Petr Fulin was second best S2000 driver in third, 2.272 seconds from the fastest time of the session.

Igor Skuz claimed fourth fastest time of the session in the diesel powered SEAT León TDi, ahead of the two León Copa drivers Andreas Pfister and Urs Sonderegger.

Peter Rikli in the Honda Civic FD was the fourth fastest S2000 driver, over four seconds from Monje’s time, in seventh position overall ahead of Aytac Biter, Christian Fischer and Jaromir Stadler.

The best S1600 driver was Paolo Necchi in 11th position overall.
