Five poles from five for Jens Weimann at Red Bull Ring

ADAC Procar Series leader Jens Weimann claimed his fifth pole position of the season at the Red Bull Ring in the closest qualifying session of the season, outqualifying Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Paul Green by 0.350 seconds.

Weimann, who has won every race of the season so far in his Thate Motorsport BMW 320si only had Paul Green to worry about in the S2000 class with just the two cars entered this weekend.

In Division 2, Nils Mierschke took his second class pole position of the season in his Ford Fiesta ST ahead of Division 2 points leader Guido Thierfelder’s ATH Tuning Peugeot 207.

Mierschke was just one tenth of a second faster than Thierfelder as the reigning Division 2 champion chases his first win of the season, with Thierfelder having won seven of the eight rounds so far this year.

The two races take place from 14:55 CET today.
