Decisive victory for Leidinger as Weimann hits trouble

Johannes Leidinger claimed a decisive victory in the first ADAC Procar race of the weekend at Nürburgring. The Liqui Moly Team Engstler driver started from pole and won the race with close to 30 seconds to his closest rival.

His closest rival was supposed to be Jens Weimann, but the reigning champion hit technical problem on lap eleven. Weimann came to a halt on an escape road and was able to get the car going again, but was helplessly far behind.

While Leidinger sprinted to victory, Markus Huggler claimed second position in his Auto Sport Schweiz BMW 320i, with Weimann crossing the line in third and last of the S2000 cars.

Winner of Division 2 was David Griessner in the Peugeot 207 ahead of Andreas Rinke and Yury Krauchuk.
