Weimann beats Leidinger in close Lausitzring qualifying
Jens Weimann beat title rival Johannes Leidinger in qualifying for the ADAC Procar race at Lausitzring. The two have been close all season and today was no exception as Weimann was a mere 0.021 seconds faster than the Liqui Moly Team Engstler driver.
Mark Warnecke was third fastest and final S2000 driver, also in a BMW 320si E90, posting a lap time that was 2.131 seconds slower than Weimann.
David Griessner topped the Division 2 field in his Peugeot 207, setting a lap time of 1:39.976. Second fastest was Yury Krauchuck in the Glatzel Racing Ford Fiesta, ahead of Nils Mierschke and Ralf Glatzel, all three driving Ford Fiestas.
The first race starts at 09.35 CET tomorrow.
