Biter and Grachev first drivers confirmed for the TC2T class

Aytaç Biter and Mikhail Grachev are the first two drivers confirmed to compete in the TC2T class in this year’s FIA European Touring Car Cup, driving for Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport and Proteam Racing respectively.

48-year-old Biter has competed in the 2010, 2012 and 2013 seasons of the ETCC, all with Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport, and will drive for the team in all rounds of this season in the TC2T class, reserved for Super 2000 cars which have been eligible in the WTCC since 2011 (now known as TC2 in WTCC).

The team have acquired one of ROAL Motorsport’s BMW 320 TCs, raced by Tom Coronel and Darryl O’Young in 2013, for Biter.

Proteam Racing will also field a turbocharged BMW 320 TC for Russian driver Mikhail Grachev in the first two rounds of this year’s ETCC. Grachev drove for the team in the final round of 2013 at Brno, as well as in the opening round of 2013 at Monza in an AMG Motorsport-run BMW 320si.
