Team Unicorse to field an Alfa Romeo 156 for Norbert Kiss

Hungarian touring car outfit Team Unicorse will return to the FIA European Touring Car Cup after a one year absence, running an Alfa Romeo 156 S2000 for 29-year-old Norbert Kiss this season.

The car, developed by Italian team N.Technology for the works Alfa Romeo European Touring Car Championship & early WTCC programme back in 2004, will be back racing in the ETCC with a new engine built by Autotecnica Motori.

The team’s driver Norbert Kiss is the 2007 and 2008 Hungarian SEAT León Cup champion and the 2009 Hungarian Suzuki Swift Cup title winner, and has recently been competing in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, where he finished fourth in the standings last season.

The car will compete in the Super 2000 TC2 class for normally aspirated cars, and will face competition from teams such as Rikli Motorsport with their Honda Civics, Liqui Moly Team Engstler and ASK Sport Auto Vesnic with their BMW 320sis, and a Chevrolet Cruze LT run by rival Hungarian team MGS Racing Team for Norbert Nagy.

The 2014 ETCC season begins in just under three weeks time at the Paul Ricard circuit, supporting the second round of the WTCC.
