Igor Skuz gets pole position as Karamyshev is excluded

Campos Racing’s Igor Skuz will start from pole position for the first race at the Salzburgring after Nikolay Karamyshev’s car was found to be underweight in post-qualifying scrutineering.

Karamyshev’s Chevrolet was found to be 0.634kg underweight, with the car required to run at 1,194kg this weekend (1,150kg base weight + 44kg success ballast).

As a result, Karamyshev loses all his times from qualifying and will be forced to start from the back of the grid.

Skuz will start on pole with the BMW 320 TC of Mat’o Homola alongside for the first race, which gets underway at 16:00 CET.
