Fredrik Lestrup takes third win from three at Zolder

Swedish driver Fredrik Lestrup continued his steamrunner performance in the ADAC Procar Series at Zolder, winning the first race of the weekend in the Division 1 class in his MINI John Cooper Works ahead of Kai Jordan’s MINI and Heiko Hammel’s Ford Fiesta ST.

Lestrup cruised to victory 6.5 seconds ahead of Jordan, after qualifying on pole position, just 32-thousandths ahead of the German.

Fourth overall went to Ralf Glatzel in the Ford Fiesta S1600, winning the Division 2 class with Johannes Leidinger fifth in the D1 class Ford Fiesta ST ahead of Andreas Rinke in the ageing S1600 class Citroën Saxo.

Division 3 was won by Steve Kirsch in the all MINI Challenge class category, with 20 cars in total entered for the race which supports the Blancpain GT Series this weekend at the Belgian circuit.

Lestrup now leads the Division 1 standings on 35 points, with Hammel on 23 and Leidinger on 17 after the first three races of the season.

Round 4 of the ADAC Procar Series is scheduled to take place at 13:05 CET tomorrow, following qualifying at 10:10.
