Fredrik Lestrup continues to dominate with fourth straight win at Zolder
Sweden’s Fredrik Lestrup took his fourth win from four races in the second race of the weekend at the ADAC Procar Series event at Zolder in the Besaplast Team MINI John Cooper Works.
Lestrup crossed the line 4.8 seconds clear of Kai Jordan’s Division 1 class MINI, with Ralf Glatzel taking the victory in the Division 2 class in his Super 1600 Ford Fiesta, and third overall.
LB Racing’s Johannes Leidinger was classified third in Division 1 in the turbo Ford Fiesta ST, with Lestrup’s team-mate Franjo Kovac fourth and last year’s champion Heiko Hammel finishing a lap down and fifth in Division 1 in the Wolf Racing Ford Fiesta ST.
Glatzel’s Division 2 win came ahead of ETH Tuning driver Matthias Meyer’s Peugeot 207, with Glatzel’s team-mate Dominique Schaak third in the class.
The MINI Challenge Division 3 class was again won by Steve Kirsch, who like Lestrup, has also won every race of the year so far in his own class.
Lestrup now has a 20 point lead over Hammel in Division 1 heading to the next round of the ADAC Procar Series on July 5th at the Lausitzring Eurospeedway.
