Petr Fulín fastest in second ETCC test session in France
Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín was fastest of all in the second and final test session at the Paul Ricard circuit, finishing ahead of B3 Racing’s Dusan Borkovic by just over two-tenths of a second.
In 28 degrees heat, the Czech driver took over with just over half of the 60-minute session to go with a time of 1:36.210, slower than Borkovic’s time which was set in cooler dinditions this morning.
Ümit Ülkü had a minor off in his BMW 320 TC at Turn 6 with 20 minutes to go, besides that the session was uneventful.
Slovakian Mat’o Homola was third fastest, having set the fastest middle sector on his in-lap at the end of the session, with Andreas Pfister and Ronny Jost completing the top five and an all Single-Make Trophy lockout.
Davit Kajaia was the fastest in the TC2T class again in his Engstler BMW 320 TC, sixth overall, with Michal Matejovsky again the best placed TC2 class driver in ninth overall.
Ulrike Krafft, who’d skipped the morning session, was on top in the Super 1600 class, and was over two seconds clear of her nearest competitor Florian Hildner, while the other three S1600 cars which took part in the first test, skipped the second test.
ETCC’s next session is Free Practice at 9:45 CET on Saturday, followed by qualifying at 12:15.
