Fredrik Lestrup continues to tot up his victory count in Zandvoort
Sweden’s Fredrik Lestrup, already crowned the 2015 ADAC Procar Series Division 1 champion, chalked up his tenth win from 13 races at Zandvoort today, leading his closest rival in the race by over 22 seconds, taking another comfortable victory in the German series.
Lestrup started from pole position and capatilised on technical problems for Ford rivals Johannes Leidinger and Heiko Hammel. Hammel stopped after 11 laps, while Leidinger suffered a braking issue and could only manage third, 25 seconds behind Lestrup, with Reinhard Nehls finishing inbetween in second, meaning a MINI 1-2 in Division 1.
In Division 2, the only class with an open battle for the title, ETH Tuning’s Andreas Rinke took the victory ahead of Ralf Glatzel and closed up to nine points behind with 34 left to score this season.
In Division 3, Steve Kirsch has already been confirmed as champion in the MINI Challenge class, but now his objective is to complete his perfect score, with Kirsch having won all 13 races so far this season.
Race 2 is scheduled to take place at 16:15 CET on Sunday.
