Frédéric Caprasse takes victory in Colmarberg Sprint 2

The DG Sport Opel squad won the second race of the weekend at Colmarberg, with Fred Caprasse winning from fourth on the grid at the Luxembourg circuit, balancing out the points lead that Honda’s Stéphane Lémeret built up after his Race 1 victory.

Caprasse won the race just ahead of Maxime Potty’s Team WRT Volkswagen, who again was forced to contend with second position, while Delahaye Racing’s Amaury Richard was again third.

Race 1 winner Lémeret finished off the podium in his Boutsen-Ginion Racing-run Honda Civic TCR in fourth position, keeping in touch with the leading trio, while Milo Racing’s Lorenzo Donnicuo finished in fifth position in their Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

Sam Dejonghe was the best of the SEATs in sixth in the car run by WRT under the RACB National Racing Team banner, with just nine cars making the finish with the Alfa Romeo of Loris Cencetti the only retirement.

The co-drivers take over for Sprints 3 & 4 at 17:10 CET, with Stefano Comini and Kris Richard among the guest drivers taking part this weekend, while championship hopeful and former WTCC driver Pierres-Yves Corthals will be behind the wheel of the Opel Astra TCR.
