Pole positions for Jaap van Lagen and Stéphane Lémeret on Sunday

Jaap van Lagen and Stéphane Lémeret will start the first of their pair of sprint races at Zandvoort from pole position, after both set the fastest laps in their respective stints of the race.

Van Lagen drove the Certainty Racing Audi RS 3 during the first half of the qualifying long race, setting a best time of 1:46.894. That time held until Stéphane Lémeret, whose car failed to make the start, set the best lap of all during their limited running on a fresher set of tyres to comfortably secure pole position for Sprint Race 1, over half a second faster.

Lémeret will line up on pole for Race 1 ahead of the Delahaye Volkswagen of Giacomo Altoe, with Danny Kroes third in the Ferry Monster SEAT León ahead of Benjamin Lessennes’ Honda.

Race 2’s grid is as the result of Race 1, while Race 3, the second set of drivers take over, with van Lagen on pole ahead of Guillaume Mondron’s Volkswagen, with Aurélien Comte third for Peugeot and Tom Coronel on row two in the Honda.
