Rikli Hondas switch to TCR-specification from this weekend

The Honda Civics of Rikli Motorsport will switch from TCN2 to TCR specification from the upcoming round of the European Touring Car Cup at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, meaning the whole field are now running to TCR specifications.

The team’s two Civics had run to TCN2 classification in the first two events at Monza and the Hungaroring, which is heavily based on TCR but with some minor differences in safety equipment.

The Rikli Motorsport team has requested a change to their homologation and will now run to TCR specification from this weekend. As a result, all cars in the championship will now use a TCR technical passport, with TCR’s technical regulations and balance of performance rules used as part of an agreement between the FIA and TCR’s promoter WSC Ltd.
