Frédéric Caprasse pairs up with Giacomo Altoè at Zolder
2016 TCR Benelux series runner-up Frederic Caprasse will join Giacomo Altoe behind the wheel of the #4 Delahaye Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, as points leader Guillaume Mondron returns to the #5 SEAT León alongside brother Edouard this weekend.
Caprasse, who raced in the opening round at Spa-Francorchamps with the DG Sport Compétition team in their Opel Astra TCR, will now try out the Volkswagen Golf, and will be effectively aiding Altoè’s championship bid, as the 16-year-old Italian is second in the standings behind team-mate Guillaume Mondron heading into the third round of the season.
Caprasse will race in the car which carries the colours which promote the 25 Hours Fun Cup event.
“It is an honour for me to be able to participate in a TCR Benelux event with a car that bears the colours of this race that is so important to me,” said Caprasse.
“It was thanks to the VW Fun Cup, and the 25 Hours in particular, that my career took off. I hope that we can put the car under the spotlight and give the spectators the desire to come and see more than 120 VW Fun Cup cars storm Raidillon on July 8th.”
