Sam Dejonghe and Denis Dupont top Friday test at Zolder

The Team WRT SEAT of Sam Dejonghe and Denis Dupont was fastest of all in the wet first test session at Circuit Zolder, leading the DG Sport Peugeot 308 of Aurélien Comte and Kevin Abbring by 1.7 seconds.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR of Guillaume Mondron and Lorenzo Donniacuo was third quickest, just under three seconds behind.

Championship leader Benjamin Lessennes, sharing with reigning champion Stéphane Lémeret this weekend, was fourth in the Boutsen Ginion Honda Civic TCR, 3.1 seconds off of Dejonghe/Dupont’s pace.

Fifth fastest was the Bas Koeten Audi of Mika Morien and Stan van Oord, while the brand-new Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR of Team WRT pair Mathieu Detry and Maxime Potty was sixth.

The Bas Koeten Audi RS 3 of Willem Meyer and Meindert van Buuren was seventh, with the DK Racing Volkswagen of Jonas De Kimpe eighth, with the Belgian taking on the weekend single-handed with no co-driver.
