Dan Lloyd: “I didn’t expect to be racing quite so early this year”

Dan Lloyd is going to race for Brutal Fish Racing Team this weekend in the TCR Malaysia championship season opener at Sepang International Circuit, after getting a late call from Honda.

“I didn’t expect to be racing quite so early this year, but this call-up is a great way to get my season off the ground,” said Lloyd.

“I got the call on Monday and then it was pretty much straight off to the airport! Honda wanted to enter a car into the series with someone with good experience in the Civic, and a few pieces of the puzzle came together for me and the Brutal Fish Racing Team.”

The 27-year-old has previous experience from racing at Sepang for Craft Bamboo Racing in 2015.

“I’ve only raced there once before, we managed to take pole and a podium so I’m hoping for more of the same this time out! The weather conditions make it tough out on track. With the heat and humidity combined there’s also a big chance of heavy rain showers, so it keeps things interesting,” said Lloyd.

Lloyd is going to drive a Honda Civic Type-R FK8 TCR for the team at Sepang.
