No DTM for Casper Elgaard

Casper Elgaard will not move from the Danish Touring Car Championship to the Deutche Tourenwagen Masters next season. The Dane tested for Mercedes at Estoril a couple of weeks ago. Mercedes were pleased by his performance and it stood between him and Paul di Resta. Mercedes chose di Resta.

“I would like to thank Team Essex and Mercedes Benz for giving me the opportunity to test a DTM car. It will be no DTM for me in 2007. Instead I will focus hard on the very exciting 2007 DTC season,” Elgaard said.
