Carlsen leaves Chevrolet DK
Jesper Carlsen will not drive for Chevrolet in the Danish Touring Car Championship, as previously announced. Carlsen was unable to get the required budget to drive and will therefore pull out before the season start.
“The last two weeks have been hectic, but sadly I cannot get the economy right. I rather take the consequences now than putting the team in a difficult situation in the middle of the season,” Carlsen said.
The team now has a difficult task finding a new driver with the season getting closer and closer.
“We are working on being able to present a new driver within a short period of time,” Michael Klostermann from Chevrolet Motorsport Denmark said.
Pontus Mörth, who was signed first to the Chevrolet team, will stay and drive the coming season in the DTC.
